HELLO, I’M ROHIT PACHAR

Building things.
Telling stories.

I build AI products, make films, and follow the interesting detours in between.

Currently, product & customer experience at TechMonk.

Different mediums.
Same curiosity.
A FEW THINGS THAT MAKE ME, ME

01 / SELECTED WORK

Built with purpose.
Or just for the fun of it.

Some things start with a problem.
Others start with “what if?”
Here’s a little of both.

01PRODUCT / CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE

CONCEPT ILLUSTRATION · NOT A PRODUCT SCREENSHOT

THE DAY JOBAI AGENTS

TechMonk.

Less repetition.
Better conversations.

I lead product and customer experience at TechMonk, working on AI agents that talk to customers—so teams can spend less time repeating themselves.

Behind the work

The starting point is a customer conversation. The product challenge is making the next one more useful—and less repetitive. At TechMonk, I bring product and customer experience into that same conversation.

02THE SIDE PROJECT
NO ROADMAP REQUIRED.JUST CURIOSITY. ↗

Closelooped

A little less planning. A little more playing.

Nights, weekends, and the simple joy of making something. A side project with no meetings to book and no permission to ask.

Why make it?

Not every project needs a grand thesis. Closelooped is a space to follow an idea, make it tangible, and enjoy the process. Built for the joy of it. That’s enough.

03BUILD ON THE GO
FOUNDER FRIENDS. OPEN ROADS.INDIA ↗

Build on the Go

A change of scenery. Not of pace.

Travelling across India with founder friends, building along the way. Good company, fresh perspectives, and work that doesn’t need a fixed address.

The idea behind the detour

Get a group of builders together. Take the conversation somewhere new. Keep making things as you go. BOG brings the road trip and the building session into the same itinerary.

Find the route and the rules ↗

Different projects. The same itch to make something real.

02 / THE OTHER LENS

Some stories need
a different lens.

Not everything I make has a user flow. Some things have a script, a crew, and one more take.

At Silverscreen, IIT Bombay’s film club, I found another way to build: small crews, borrowed lenses, and stories from places like home.

As Institute Film & Media Convener, I helped bring filmmakers, audiences, and a lot of moving parts together.

03 / A LITTLE BACKSTORY

Small-town roots.
Wide-open possibilities.

From a village near Sikar
to a few worlds I hadn’t imagined.

I grew up in Bhairunpura, Rajasthan. My route to building things ran through chemical engineering at IIT Bombay, a design minor at IDC, and a lot of late nights making things with friends.

The subjects changed. The instinct didn’t: understand how something works, then try making something of my own.

NOT A STRAIGHT LINE. A GOOD ONE.

Rohit

Still figuring it out.
Still building.

THE STARTING POINT / 2002

A village near Sikar.

Bhairunpura, Rajasthan. Small-town beginnings, a close connection to home, and curiosity about what lay beyond it.

IIT BOMBAY / CLASS OF ’25

Engineering meets design.

A B.Tech in Chemical Engineering, a design minor at IDC, and an education that spilled well beyond the classroom.

CHEMICAL ENGINEERINGDESIGN AT IDC

THE EDUCATION BETWEEN THE CLASSES

Made with good people.

E-Cell. Abhyuday. Techfest. Product management at Devcom. Film nights at Silverscreen. Mostly, an education in the people I built things with at 3 a.m.

A few chapters before Bombay

Polkaji through class 4, BPS Sikar through class 10, Keshwanand for class 12, and JEE coaching at Matrix. A KVPY fellowship and a JEE result in the top 1.6% of 9.3 lakh candidates were part of the route to IIT Bombay.

DIFFERENT TOOLS. THE SAME WAY OF LOOKING.

Listen closely.

The useful question is often hiding inside the ordinary conversation.

Make it tangible.

A first version teaches me more than another week of imagining it.

Leave room to play.

Not every detour needs a destination. Some just need a little curiosity.

04 / THE NEXT CONVERSATION

Got a good question?
Let’s start there.

A product idea, a story worth telling,
or a detour I should take. I’m listening.
